This nursing home is located on a historical site of an old flower factory (Ancosite) next to the Dessel-Schoten canal. It has an total living area of approximal 7840 square meters. ANCO is more than a residential nursing home. The (social) welfare of the elderly is very important and the garden which we have designed plays an important role. The garden itself has been positioned atop the underground parking garage.
The fluid structure of the beech hedges, together with the natural positioned trees guarantees privacy and coziness for the residents of the nursing home. A number of small sitting areas have been created where the residents can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Furthermore the garden visually “supports” the architecture of the new building.
