This Privacy Policy applies to all services that we supply (or that are supplied to us) and in general to all the activities we perform.

By giving us your personal data, you explicitly declare that you have read our Privacy Policy and you also explicitly agree with it, as well as with the processing of your data.
1. GENERAL

- Wirtz International does not have a data protection officer (‘DPO’) and has no obligation to appoint one. - Wirtz International complies with all the rules of European Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data (hereafter: “GDPR”), the Belgian legislation on the protection of privacy and European Directive 2002/58/EC of 12 July 2002 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (hereinafter referred to as: “ePrivacy Directive”), jointly: “Privacy Legislation”.
2. PROCESSING ACTIVITIES
Within the framework of its activities, Wirtz International carries out the following processing activities:
- Customers:
What data?The personal identification data of customers, and if applicable, of their representatives (including names, legal form, sex), contact data (including addresses of their registered office or domicile, landline, mobile phone and/or fax number, email address), financial identification data (including VAT number and other billing data), information concerning the execution of our agreement (including our correspondence, the plans, designs and other creations), the reference number at Wirtz, etc.
Purposes? We process this data for identification and individualisation, for administrative purposes, smooth communication, monitoring and execution of the agreement, subsequent feedback and accounting.
Legal basis? Processing your data is necessary to supply you with the services requested and for us to execute the contract at your request (Art. 6.1b GDPR). The processing is also partly based on our legal obligations (Art. 6.1c GDPR).
Storage period? We store this data from the moment you contact us until the assignment has been completed. After that, we retain all data for ten years, in accordance with the architects’ legal responsibility for structural defects.

What data? Customers’ names, the description of the project and images, photos, designs and plans of the project.
Purposes? To provide recent example projects on the website for reference.
Legal basis? The processing is based on consent (Art. 6.1a GDPR).
Storage period? We retain this data for ten years after the end of the assignment, unless the consent given was previously withdrawn.

What data?The personal identification data of suppliers and, where applicable, their representatives (including names, legal form), contact details (including the address of the registered office or residence, landline or mobile phone and/or fax number, email address), financial identification data (including VAT number and other billing data), information about the execution of our agreement (including our correspondence, a description of the goods or services supplied).
Purposes? We process this data for identification and individualisation, for administrative purposes, for smooth communication, monitoring and execution of the agreement, subsequent feedback and accounting.
Legal basis? The processing is necessary for placing orders and delivering the goods or services (Art. 6.1b GDPR). The processing is also partly based on our legal obligations (Art. 6.1c GDPR).
Storage period? We retain this information until ten years after the end of the agreement, to meet our accounting obligations.

What data?Names, contact details, images and other information you provide to us.
Purposes? We maintain contact with professionals and other interested parties whom we meet at lectures, guest lectures, fairs and events and who give us their contact details.
Legal basis? Provision of the information can be considered unambiguous consent to processing (Art. 6.1a GDPR). In addition, it is in any event in the legitimate interests of Wirtz International to maintain a solid network for its activities (Art. 6.1f GDPR).
Storage period? We keep the data until the party concerned withdraws its consent and in any case for a maximum of ten years.
- Job applications:
What data?Names, contact data (including residential address, email address, landline and mobile phone numbers), curriculum vitae with all the information the applicant includes therein, cover letter, any notes on interviews or assessments, correspondence and all other information the applicant has provided to Wirtz International within the context of an application.
Purpose? We process this information at your request and initiative to consider your application within the context of potential recruitment or association.
Legal basis? The processing is necessary to perform the actions required to conclude a contract (Art. 6.1b GDPR) and in the justified interest of Wirtz International to assess your application (Art. 6.1f GDRP).
Storage period? We will retain this data for the duration of the application process. If an applicant is not hired, we will delete all data immediately after the end of the application process, unless you explicitly agree to your personal data being stored for longer. In that case, your data will be stored until five years after the end of the application procedure.
- Third parties who contact us:
What data? Name, email address, message content and subsequent correspondence.
Purpose? Interested parties can send us an email or use our contact form at any time. The data is processed to facilitate an efficient response to incoming messages.
Legal basis? Processing is necessary to provide you with the service you requested (to respond to your message) (Art. 6.1b GDPR).
Storage period? After answering your questions or responding to your comments or messages, we delete all data after five years.
TRANSFER
- We protect your personal data well from the outside world. For certain purposes, we do pass on your personal data to third parties that provide us with services, such as an accountant for accounting purposes, a lawyer for legal procedures, a web developer for the maintenance of our website, IT providers for the use of certain cookies, etc.
- No data will be passed on to third parties, except for technical processing purposes. Your data will certainly not be sold or transferred for any commercial use whatsoever.
- However, a transfer is possible in the event of the reorganisation or bankruptcy of Wirtz International, or the transfer of all or part of the activities of Wirtz International. In such a case we will do everything in our power to inform you as soon as possible.
- In rare cases, we may be required to disclose or pass on your information pursuant to a court order or to comply with other mandatory laws or regulations. We will make every effort to inform you of this in a timely manner, unless it is subject to legal restrictions.
- The data we collect and process using Google Analytics cookies will be transferred to the United States. Google Inc. is subject to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and transmission should therefore be secure. Furthermore, your data never leaves the territory of the European Union.
