With respect for the original architecture, an old grain factory on the banks of the Campine Canal in Herentals, province of Antwerp, has been converted into a nine-level art and exhibition center where collector Hugo Voeten has now housed a part of his collection.
The exterior garden is characterized by a grid of Poplar trees. The space under and between the trees is used as an exhibition area for sculptures. A path of mowed grass between the trees give people the possibility to walk through the exhibition. The dialogue between the massif old brick factory and the sober design of the Popular tree grid gives an ideal balance and interaction between those two volumes.
