Art gallery ‘De Ziener’ is located in the center of Asse, near the city of Brussels. Jan De Smedt started this dynamic gallery in 1986 with the intention of offering young and lesser-known artists a platform to showcase their artwork.
The former vegetable garden behind the art gallery has been given a new and intriguing look by adding a long irregular shaped ‘pergola’ of bended willows branches. They cover the narrow and rectangular garden and create an secluded space which features a sculpture by the British artist Norman Dilworth. When entering the garden, the two elements create a new and broadening perspective.
