Construction has begun at South dock Gardens, Wood Wharf (UK)

A new urban district is being created in London’s Canary Wharf, which when complete will feature up to 3,600 new homes, a two form primary school, 490,000sq ft of retail space and eight acres of public spaces, squares and lush green parks. It will be a prime location to enjoy the highlights of living in one of the most vibrant and exciting areas of London.

Because of their intense greenness, the public spaces and parks at Wood Wharf will become oases of freshness and a counterpoint to the density of the city. The South Dock gardens at Wood Wharf are very wind-exposed. And on top of everything, the water of the South Dock turns rather blackish in winter. That’s why we are using a lot of sweeping forms of ornamental grasses and perennials that look truly lovely in winter. This way the public spaces keep their liveliness even when the weather turns.

Completion of this new urban district in London’s Canary Wharf is currently expected in 2023. Click here for more information.
