Het project om het historische ensemble van de B\u00f6tzow-brouwerij in Prenzlauer Bay, Berlijn te vernieuwen<\/a> was het resultaat van een wedstrijd. Het is een fascinerend geheel van oude gebouwen op een artifici\u00eble heuvel in het midden van Berlijn, verrijkt met nieuwe kantoor- en woongebouwen van David Chipperfield Architects Berlijn<\/a>. Het dient ook als het nieuwe hoofdkantoor voor Ottobock, een van de toonaangevende fabrikanten van prothesen, orthesen en exoskeletten.<\/p>\n

Het project heeft verschillende ruimtes met elke een eigen karakter en sfeer, zoals een echte stadscampus<\/a>. De belangrijkste kenmerken zijn een open grindpiazza omringd door bomen op het dak<\/a> en een vernieuwde biertuin. De heuvelflanken van het project, die naar de straat gericht zijn, worden behandeld als een “theeplantage” met cascaderende heggen die de externe perceptie van het project samenbrengen in \u00e9\u00e9n krachtig statement. Vanuit de stad lijken alle architectonische elementen op te rijzen uit een groen voetstuk, waarbij de verschillende sferen die in het centrum van het project te ontdekken zijn, nog niet worden onthuld. Als urban hub is het heel uniek in Europa; het komt perfect tegemoet aan de behoefte aan leef- en werkruimte in een binnenstedelijke context met goed verzorgde openbare ruimtes<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
