Landscape construction in progress: Toyota Material Handling, Willebroek

On the 21st of January 2019, Toyota Material Handling moved to their new headquarters at the MG business park ‘De Hulst’ in Willebroek (BE) which is located along the N16, between Antwerp and Brussels. Here the Belgian and European headquarter will be united under one roof. MG Real Estate was responsible for the construction of the building with multiple meeting rooms, training center, showroom and warehouse.

The entrance zone has been designed by Wirtz International and is now under construction. It is characterized by three serpentine shaped beech hedges (Fagus sylvatica) which lead visitors and staff to the main entrance of the complex. The hedges cut through four concrete steps that compensate for the difference in height between the entrance and the parking lot. The dynamic movements create a playful whole that contrasts with the modern, minimalist complex. Groups of (flowering) multi-trunk trees create an extra interesting focal point.

The landscape construction will be completed by spring 2019.
